General
- don’t miss lethal because there is a great value play
- silence your own minions to unfreeze them or to remove certain debuffs
- try to play on curve unless it’s somehow detrimental (coin is great for this)
- healing minions to full will remove Enrage
- ALWAYS keep silence for Tirion
- Equality + Pyromancer/Consecrate (4/6 mana)
- keep Divine Favor in mind vs aggro
- do not overextend (heals)
- keep silence / 5 dmg for Highmane
- Freezing: always, Explosive: face, Snake: minion, Misdirection: face
- don’t always maximize board presence (UTH!!)
- play around Houndmaster (4 mana)
- keep beasts off board
- minimize face damage
- zoo: minimize face damage, mulligan for AoE/taunt/heal/cheap removal/early creatures
- handlock: beware health(stall the giant drop for your answers), don’t overextend (AoE)
mulligan for silence/bgh/black knight/removal
- try to keep early 3 damage spells for the Northshire Cleric (Wrath/Frostbolt/…)
- try to buff minions into 4 attack range, not out of it
- when pinging, remember he can heal minions
- don’t overextend on turn 4 or 5 (Auchenai Circle // Holy Nova)
- Cabal on turn 6!
- pressure early (unless he plays typical aggro minions, then play as if it’s zoo)
- try not to give him too much armor with the Armorsmith
- same goes for the Acolyte of Pain
- don’t overextend on turn 5 (Brawl)
- vs double roar (minion spam) try to keep board clear, stay out of lethal range
- 9 mana: he can do 14 damage with Force/Roar on empty board (+2 for every minion + their base atk)
- play around the 4 mana Swipe / 5 mana Starfall
- don’t waste removal (traditional decklists go very late)
- Miracle: keep some sort of removal for the auctioneer, Loatheb/taunt up when lethal nears, play fast! Don’t let him have it easy the first turns.
- aggro/mill (known as Backspace): don’t skimp on cards or you might end up burning cards, other than that play like you would vs zoo/hunter: clear board and minimize face damage
- 3 mana: Lightning Storm / Hex!
- don’t underestimate Flametongue Totems, usually it’s best to prioritize killing these
- 5 mana: Bloodlust gives all his minion +3 attack for that turn, don’t be caught off guard!
- 6 mana: Doomhammer + Rockbiter can do 10 damage!
- 9 mana: Al’Akir + Rockbiter can do 12 damage! (16 if next to Flametongue Totem)
- 10 mana: Al’Akir + 2x Rockbiter can do 18 damage! (22 if next to Flametongue Totem)
- kill Kel’Thuzad asap if he plays a Reincarnate deck or you will lose (unless you have lethal)
- 4 mana: removal! Fireball + Polymorph
- 6/7 mana: Blizzard (2dmg freezing AoE) and Flamestrike (4 dmg AoE)
- Antonidas/Mana Wyrm/Sorcerer’s Apprentice becomes dangerous very fast: kill asap
- depending on how many spells she has used/amount of Apprentices and spell damage on board,15 hp can already be lethal
